My Good News/Bad News for the Idaho Fish-In

I’m really bummed that my daughter, Melissa, and her husband, Phil, won’t be able to attend this years Idaho Fish-In. Seems that they need to save their money for diapers, footy jammies and the like.

The good news is that I’m gonna be a Grampa. Melissa has her first doctor’s appointment during the Fish-In so if I make daily trips to get to a cell phone reception site, don’t mind me. My first time as a Grampa.

Well Congratulations to Grandpa and Grandma as well as the parents! Ron this is great news!

Congratulations Gramps. Tell Vickie I’m happy for her too.

And I too add my congratulations to both of you and , of course, to MOM.

Mark

CONGRATS to you two, being a grandparent four times over, it is a great feeling and the grandkids are a great amount of joy!!

Congrats Ron.

I too am a Grandfather twice and remembered when I found out, it really put things into perspective. Showed me that I was no longer and teenager but, when playing with them, I again feel as a teenager. It is a wonderful thing being a Grandfather. The best part as oppossed to being a parent is, they go home after the visit. LOL. Seriously though, congratulations.

grats ree hugs to you and your daughter

Congratulation REE and VEE. My friends tell me if they had known grandkids were so much fun they would have had them first.

That’s great news! Congratulations grandpa to be and to grandma to be. Congratulations to your daughter and son in-law as well. We will expect pictures when the time comes.

Congratulations!!! I can tell you as a grandpa to six beautiful grandsons, they’re a LOT more fun than your own children.

One word of caution though, they will really wear you out, especially when they’re young. We were out at a nice resturant with my son and his wife and two sons ages 5 and 3. Of course as I headed for the restroom to wash my hands, they wanted to go with grandpa. As they burst into the restroom there was an older gentleman washing his hands and he remarked, “Where do they get all their energy?” Right at that moment, I figured it out; they suck it all out of their grandparents!

Good luck and enjoy!

Congrats to REE and VEE and Melissa and family! I wish you the best and I shall add a few prayers for Melissa & Co.

Ed

Congrats REE. I hope this is the first of a brace or 2

One of my 2 grandaughters, along with her Mother and Father just moved to Tulsa, OK. The moving truck arrived at their new home today, and Grandma is in withdral already!

Congratulations Ron! BTW, I’ve used that pay phone next to the river at 3 rivers before and it DOES work!

CONGRATULATIONS GRANDMA AND GRANDPA TO BE. Time to start building a “1” weight! Remember - your main roles are to spoil them like crazy. And, past down all the family history and stories. I missed out on most of mine when my grandparents and parents were alive and have spent the last 50+ years searching for it; but, hearing it from them would have been so much better. Blessings to all.

Grn Mt Man,
Does the first child get a 1-wt, the second child a 2-wt etc…? If so, Ron had better be careful about ordering any 9-wt blanks…

Ed

Congratuations! All the best to you all.

REE

Ron, you are gonna love it! Congrats!

We’ve not yet had a chaance to meet, but I suspect your grandkids are going to love having you and VEE as grandparents too. so, I’ll add on my congrats to them.

It took us about forever to become grandparents. (40 years of marriage) Wish it could have come a lot sooner! I cherish each day I get to spend with them and hope I can still be able to take one of them to a stream some day.
