My daughter's Champion Shiz Tsu's (not ff )

My Daughters website with her 15 Champions.

I have Three of the pups from the North American Champion.
Mine are pets not quite up to the grade of Her show dogs.

GnuBee;
GORGEOUS dogs!! She should, (and no doubt, IS!), be very, very, proud of her dogs!
I enjoyed the site, naturally, being a dog breeder myself. Linda and I breed The Cairn Terriers. (aka; “Toto” The Wizard Of Oz).
We don’t, however, breed “for show”. Only for healthy, happy, loving, family pets. I bred Mini Dachs for show many years ago, but that was enough for me!
Breeding the great Cairn Terriers, I sure don’t envy your daughter’s time spent just in grooming alone, she must spend!! Cairns don’t shed, have no “known hair cut style” and are SUPPOSED to look “like an umade bed”, that’s their show look! So, the grooming in minimal at best.
Her dogs and her ribbons, are really fantastic. She mas MUCH to be very proud of!
(It’s also nice to know, that since YOURS are “pets”, you have an endless supply of fine dubbing materials!!??)

Very cool!:cool:

Someone on the chat said jokingly that they are foo foo dogs. I mentioned that she got $40,000 foo foo dollars for one of those foo foo dogs. ha ha

She doesn’t sell the Champions anymore, only breeds them once for puppies then believe it or not gives them away to good homes. I have trouble wrapping my mind around that one. She explained that it is her hobby and what she loves doing, selling them would just not seem right. She gives me puppies that have some small defect for the show ring. Such as wrong color or small size etc. They make really nice pets. She does sell the puppys that have not imprinted an owner yet. Most of her dogs live within a 1/2 hour from her house and get visited a lot.

Cairn Terriers sound like my kind of dog.
The Shiz tsu’s need clipping all the time around their eyes or they can’t see. Plus we have dust bunnys that are bigger than the dogs. Our vaccum refuses to go near them anymore.

Our dogs are Bud, Kaysa, Molson and Misty. Molson is a Golden Cocker. Which means I always have a case a Bud or a case of Molson Golden and a case of Irish mist in the house. ( my wife named them for her favorite libation. Budweiser and Molson Golden beer. and Irish Mist whisky )

Buds Registered name is Yings this buds for you. :mrgreen:
My Sisters dog Clinton. Is registered as Yings Clintons presidential indescretion. :mrgreen:
Yings is the name of the breeder which is always the first name on the registration.

I do not drink beer , I’m the only Canadian I know of that doesn’t.:oops:

I drink rum straight up , in case anyone thinks this non beer drinking person is a Woosie!

GnuBee;
Your list of registered dog names, is one reason I got OUT of the show ring years ago.
Yours, are fine, sort of neat, really!! But, when I was still showing, and I’d ask another shower the name of their dog and they’d tell me something like “Oscar’s-Bellevue-Sight Unseen-River Boat Captain-Bob”, ( ONE name, for ONE small dog), I knew it was time to quit!
All of our dogs also carry our Kennel’s registration name, (Aquila Ranch), but it’s up to the new owners to register if they want to and to name the dog whatever they want!
I don’t know, how it is up your way anymore, but now in the US there are 39 different “dog registries”, BESIDES the old standby of the American Kennel Club.(AKC).
You can even register and get “papers” here in the US now for a dog of unknown mixed breeding, you picked up from the animal shelter. Makes no sense, any longer to even fool with the AKC, let alone, the other 39 available.

Yes, Cairns ARE great dogs. My personal fishing buddy, a little female named “Sophie” even loves to ride on my 'Toon boat with me. She’s still in training, she’s just under a year old but loves to be on the go, explore and be anywhere I am!!

im just imagining all the flies to be made from shiz tzu fur…

Just don’t post the NAMES of those flies!:rolleyes:

Seriously, those are gorgeous dogs. Does she spend ALL her waking hours grooming?
Mike

Mikey;
I went to my neighbor’s who has one of GnuBee’s breed of dogs and tied a nice wet fly with some of the fur.
After looking at the fly in my vise, for like 30 minutes, it FINALLY came to me, to name this new fly…“The GnuBee Champion Penticton Fire House Marjorie’s Delight Going Postal Emerger”. Can’t WAIT, now, to tie a dry!

In the mid 70’s the Montana reserve champion (a black lab) was, DEANNA’S BEAST.
Yes, she did show dogs.

Yep! I just KNEW, there “was something” besides fly fishing, JC that made me like LF!!
Doing it or not,still, “once a breeder, ALWAYS a breeder”!!

Gnu Bee,
We are on our third and fourth Shih Tzu’s as I write this. We recently lost our 13 year old bot Buddy. So we got two to replace him. A boy and a girl, Jack and Rosie who are 11 weeks old. Boy are they a hand full. It was nice to see your daughters web site and see all of the Beautiful Champions and puppies.
I made some Buggers out of Buddy’s hair that worked real well in a local reservoir. The wife thought it was terrible thing to do.

I’m so sorry about Little Buddy. It is so sad to lose a dog. I lost my Black Labrador 2 years ago now and still miss him. Please do me and Yourself favor, save one of Buddy’s flies, stick it in a favorite hat or other piece of fishing gear, that way you will always have a piece of him close by. I have a “Shadow” fly in my tying room stuck on to our clan crest to commemorate my dog Shadow.

JC We have Shiz tsus but my Favorite dogs are still the Black Lab. I would have loved to see Deanna’s Champion. All Lab’s are champions in my opinion. Shiz tsus sometimes not so much. We have one that is a total brat. We love him but he’s a brat nevertheless.

Tuber You have no idea how much work goes into those dogs. The whole family work really hard at it . They have 6 dogs living with them right now and they all need walks, they all need grooming and feeding and playtime etc. You can’t just let them out the back door you have to go with them. Shiz tsu hair tangles so badly that finally you just have to cut it short and start over. So all walks are on the leash. But Her family all love doing it. The dogs certainly love all that attention. I would not have the patience which is why mine are clipped regularly.
