Very nice fish. Bluegills are some of the most beautiful freshwater fish found in North America. I’ve been catching some with the belly such a bright orange that it looks like a sunset and spots of bright blue along their sides. They are my favorite fish to flyfish for.

Easily 50% of the bluegills there go 9+ inches. The biggest in the pics was just a tad over 11".

It certainly offers some of the best bluegill I’ve found. And nobody fishes for them.
