I rebuilt a 9’ Monty and was wondering what model it is. It had a turquoise colored plastic reel seat. Anyone know ?

This is about the response I expected. I frequent antique stores looking for rods to rebuild and haven’t seen another with this color of reel seat. I see a lot of red (flash)and blue but not turquoise.

Pupa,
I have refurbished quite a few Monty’s and have seen that reelseat on two other rods. Both of the were Montague “Flash” rods. The one thing that Montague lacked in their rod making was consistency in parts use from rod to rod.

Thanks Leo , I wondered about that. The only Flashes I’ve seen had red or chrome seats. Russ
