hook - WFC Model 28 #10
thread - UTC 140 rusty brown
core - 8lb mono
underbody - moose body hair
body - deer hair
wing - deer hair

Part 1

Make a loop in a length of mono

Brush shank with Super Glue; start thread/tie in mono

Clean,stack,measure (3x hook length) a clump of moose hair; hook loop onto gallows, trim butts/tie in

Wrap up the mono (about 2x hook length) and back

Clean, stack, measure (tips past last wrap on underbody) a clump of deer hair; trim butts/tie in allowing deer hair to flare around shank

Part 2

Spiral wrap up (last wrap just past last wrap on underbody; pull tight to flare tips)

And back to base with crossing wraps

Trim out mono

Clean, stack, measure (2x hook gap) a substantial clump of deer hair

Trim butts, tie in with 2 soft loops

Pull tight gradually, allowing the deer hair to spin

Push deer hair back; make sure it’s evenly distributed around shank

Pull back, wax thread, create head (this is when all the hidden shorts come out; bastards)

Build thread head, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

Part 3

Trim out hair underneath

Go fish
