As I organize my fly tying “stuff”, I find that at one time I purchased a dozen or so spools of each of following Uni threads:
Uni 1/0 neon
Uni 3/0
Uni BigFly
I have several colors I’m bringing, hopefully to trade for olive, black, & red threads in 6/0 and yellow & black in 3/0.
I will also bring an older API vise that will be a give-away, hopefully for someone any of you may know who is on a tight budget & starting to tie.
Ok “Smarty-pants”!!..I plan on cooking fudge twice next week & I will be sending probably 3 pounds to some unknown destination on the left coast. WHY, I don’t know, but I will!
There will also be some for the Michigan Fish-In.
BTW, IF you PM me with Sammy’s new address (or other address to use), I’ll ship a pound off to our girl.
Mikey
Mikey;
Thank you, but I WAS referring to you taking your fudge to the MIFI, NOT MINE! But, since you mentioned it anyway…
Sam and her family, are currently staying in a motel, until their furniture arrives and some “problems” are settled with their new house. One of the reasons, I was attending the MIFI,to begin with was to inspect their house, prior to move in, remember now it’s a complete mess.
When someone sells and moves out, is it a “custom” in Michigan to also take the fireplace mantel AND the back door, with you when you leave!?
Also, as a VERY concerned Gampa, I make it a practice to pre-sample ANY and ALL of any “food stuffs” mailed to my granddaughter, so MY mailing address, for HER fudge, would work just fine!
Oh, and don’t tell HRH Betty, but out here, our version of Kroger’s has those white cheddar Cheez Its on sale… buy two 1lb. boxes for .99 cent each and a get a 3rd, box free.
Hey you people bringing rods and reels for the swap sale table how about more info on what your bringing. I might be in the market for a 2wt rod and reel.
Guys, I know many of you have all the hackle & saddles you will ever ‘need’ for the rest of your tying life. I, though, will be bringing some ‘Conranch’ product to the Michigan ‘Fish-In’. If you do tie at home, please see me and get some of these; they are truly different and I want you to at least get to know them. There is no charge, of course, as that is just the kind of great guy Denny is. Talk real hard and some of you will go home with more than just a few feathers.
I hope to have some free tying material ready to bring. I have an abundance of black bear (can’t legally leave U.S. A.), kangaroo, and wild turkey biot feathers to sort out.
Two years ago, HRH Betty Hiner gave me a pair of Sims boots. They fit only for wet wading, but the cold water makes my legs hurt too much, and I can’t use them with my new waders.
I think the size is 7-8. These will be put on the table as a give away. If you know someone who can use these, let me know!
