Michigan Fish-In Swap #2-caddis

ok. since caddis is such a huge group of insects, lets make this 20 tiers, 19 plus me, going to the fish-in in michigan this august. we will tie 3 flies each, whatever caddis patterns you want. they dont even have to be 3 of the same pattern. according to the [url=http://www.troutbums.com/TroutEmergence/:a9003]emergence schedule,[/url:a9003] there are about 6 different types of caddis expected to be hatching strongly in august, so there are plenty of variations to choose from.

sign up deadline will be january 31. flies to me by march 15.

remember, this is not a “traditional” swap format. each tier will tie 3 flies only, of whatever caddis pattern you want. i will send the flies to Jack Hise in michigan, and the flies will be distributed at the fish-in.

this will be list of tiers, and what they will be tying. since the flies will be distributed freely amongst all atendees of the fish-in, repeat patterns are fine. also, anyone wishing to send more than 3 flies, feel free to do so. all extra flies sent will be distributed to jack.

A bum-legged old man and a drunk. That’s all you got?
That’s WHAT I got.

welcome aboard drew. thanks for playing.

bump…

c’mon guys. you only gotta tie 3 caddis flies. heck, look in your box and pick 3 out to send to me!! this is gonna be for everyone to use at the fish-in on the AuSable river.

this swap needs to fill up…there are far too many caddis hatches on the river in august in michigan for this swap NOT to fill up. i dont care if you pull 3 flies out of your existing stash and send 'em in, just join and send 'em in .

Yes chris ,
I am not seeing what I had thought I’d see with these swaps, The speed that they’d fill up I mean…Seen Jack posted again on the main board…Hope that helps get ppl’s attention! If need be I’ll fill my entire swap myself…No big.

I’ll do some sparkle pupa emergers. I’ll just hand them right to Jack if thats all right with everyone. I plan on fishing with him sometime this spring anyway.

all leaders tangle; mine are just better at it than most. Jim

rainbowchaser–

i would really rather you sent the flies to me, as i have some “special plans” for distributing them all to jack and the fish-in folks.

with that being said, if you must, you must, and i understand. if youre going to send them to jack directly, please let me know that he has received them when they are done, so i can mark it on the participant list.

thanks for playing.

Chris, I’ll join if you’ll have me. i can send mine to you when I send you the flies from the Dremel swap. Or I can just send them directly to Jack when I send him other flies I’ll be sending that way. Flies tbd.
