Sadly, I will miss the Michigan Fish-In. Our niece Monica called last night, & her Mom (my wife Colleen’s sister Pat) has 3-9 months to live. We do not expect her to make it through the summer. To make sure I am with my wife when the time comes, or, if Pat passes quickly, to take a week afterward for Colleen, I have decided to forego the Fish-In. I will miss everyone, but I’m sure you can understand my reasoning…Family comes first.
I talked to Jean D tonight, & I still plan & hope to send a bunch of peanut butter fudge up, either with Brad & Bill or Joe Valencic. I will also get with Jerry (Dotman) & make sure his stuff gets up there.
I had reserved a room at Gate’s lodge from Saturday, 6/30 until Sunday, 7/8. Rather than cancel my reservation now, if anyone is interested in the room, please PM me so I can call & see if they will transfer it to you. The only hangup I can see is if there is a current waiting list.

Having used up my vacation time in December when my mother was ill I understand the family first thing. I know they can get through the fish-in without me but They will need to find a another Irishman to take your place or things will be get mighty quiet and peaceful.
To say I’m saddened that neither of the two of you will be there, would be an understatement. I’m thankful I had the opportunity to meet both of you last year, and hope to see you at the Fish-In next year. Mikey, my love and prayers are with you and Colleen.

That is very sad news. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Call me anytime, and I mean anytime, you need to. I just cannot tell you how sad I am for you and Colleen. Should you need us to come over and help you just say the word. I will try to call you very soon. I work Thursday but am off the rest of the week. If you want me to come over just let me know. We love you both.
