Hello,
This one was my first try with a mantis. I called it Maria after my eldest daughter. She helped me with the fly gesture and she also gave me two hairs to make the antenae.

Hello again Andres, Very beautiful work, no words can do it justice. I’m looking forward to hearing and seeing more from you, as we all are. We’re very pleased to have you join us here…ModocDan
Once again, excellent work. Of course you know that since you used your daughters hair, it just became priceless.
Really look forward to seeing more of your work.
hello Mododcan, rookie,
Thank you!
Rookie, Maria and the devil mantis are both presents for my daughters.
Hmm, never even thought of a praying mantis type fly. Let alone a super realistic one!
But wouldn’t it get torn up when a fish takes it, or are these just for display?
Hello Panfisha,
Bill Logan said “It was a small step once I made it to take fly tying away from fishing altogether”
