I have not been having good days lately. Betty sent me Marco’s Story about the guy who lassoed a Deer and it brightened my life quite a bit. It just shows a little sunshine can come into your life, especially when you need it.
Doug
glad to see youre back Doug
Welcome back, Doug. Remind me to tell you the story of the time my buddy and I rescued a live deer from an old fence.
Doug,
It is really good to see your “words” again! Why don’t you just fly to Tennessee and go fishing with Jack and me? We fished about 3 hours this afternoon and had a good time. Please stay in touch. You were missed on this end!
Heyy Glad to see your back doug!!
I missed your humor.
It was nice to see your name up there again…
You guys!
I’m not normally the guy to say this but, told you so , didn’t I.
Dshock , while you were away , OhioTuber bought a pontoon boat so he will now be known as Ohiopontoober. The rest is still pretty much the same
Welcome back !
Dougie,
I’m also glad to see you back! As far as Gnu Bee’s comment, I DID buy Joe Valencic’s used 'toon, haven’t used it yet as we have been moving…it ain’t any fun sorting through & parting with 34 years worth of acquired “stuff”…too much of which has memories attached. I am NOT changing my “title”…I shall forever remain ohiotuber!!
Mike
Hey there Doug, First of all, nice to “see” you back in the fold. AND as to “Marco’s Deer Story”, I take credit only when same is due. In this case, I am due none. I was not the author/originator of the deer ropin story. I merely read it and, like you, enjoyed it very much. Betty gives credit to the author at either the beginning or end of this tale of woe. It was more than well retold and written and very funny.
Again, welcome back.
Mark

Doug,
Just so you know, the guy with the sign bears an incredible resemblance to me!   See, you are not the only one with issues.

Just ask Mike. He will tell you all about it.
Mark,
It was a very funny story and I laughed. It was also an important lesson for all the prospective Deer Lassoers!
Doug
Took me forever but I finally found that deer story. Too funny!
Welcome back Doug!
I knew a couple of guys up in Evart that would rope and put collars on deer. They’d put corn in the bottom of a 5 gallon pail, lay the noose around the top and when the deer stuck it’s head in the pail…Gotcha!!.
The amazing thing was in less that 15 minutes the deer would have it’s head back in the pail!!
They also tried fishing for turkeys but after breaking 2 Steelhead rods gave it up!!
Doug,
As a memorial to our fellow PIA (you!), we stopped using smilies while you were in exile. Now that the Phoenix has risen from the ashes, we can go back to having a little bit of fun.
Joseph the Incorrigable
Nice to see ya back, Doug.
Thanks!!
So whats the big deal with Doug being back?
Sure he is a nice guy,
Gives good posts with a sense of humor,
Well liked,
Has good stickies, prior to Joe’s that is!
Has much to offer here on FAOL as well I am sure in the outside world,
Guess I answered my own question…
Welcome back Doug!
Jack,
Go to Google, Type in Fishing for Turkeys, Go to Page 3 and scroll down to the 3rd Link. It’s pretty funny!
Check out the SSC Admin’s photo! Also the name of the Senior Member who asks the Question about Fishing for Turkeys.
I think those guys have been chasing Turkeys too long!
Doug
