Front to back; just for fun.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #12
thread - Uni 6/0 rusty dun
tail - woodduck flank
rib - x-small wire copper
abdomen - pheasant tail
thorax - Zelon dubbing hydropsyche (any tan dubbing will do)
hackle - grizzly hen dyed brown
wing - woodduck flank

Part 1

mash barb, start thread at front

trim out center of flank feather

tie in, pull back to length (shank); trim

tie in hen hackle by tip, wrap rearwards to 2/3 mark, stroking fibers forward; tie off/trim

measure (shank length) some woodduck flank fibers; tie in/trim

tie in rib

Part 2

tie in pt, wrap forward just short of wing; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread

dub thread/dub thorax

half hitch x 2 behind hackle, SHHAN
