Pretty much everything on the list. I did buy two tubes of Pliobond (all they had) which is what precipitated the trip in the first place. I did not get any elk hair or carabou as a hunter friend has promised me some after hunting season. I also did not get any Kevlar thread. Must have missed it. I think I have enough to keep me through the winter and this thread made me aware of some “real” fly shops in Nashville and Carbondale, both about 2 hours drive.
One of the best parts of the trip was a visit to my neice’s home where I got to visit and deliver the traditional first fishing rod to my great nephew. He is 4 months old and this is the first time I have seen him. My brother was there and gave me a gift of a 6 ft 3-4 wt Cortland that he bought years ago and no longer uses. He has gone to the big two handed rods and 10 and 12 wt lines while I still love my 2wt.
So all in all I had a great trip. I should be ready in the spring when KY releases trout on Casey Creek in Cadiz only 45 minutes away.
