Lunchtime Challenge Returns!

I guess the old one got archived or else my search skills need fine tuning

At any rate, I just whipped out some Guadalupanas over lunch.

Nice tie! I’m gonna have to get in on the game and start tying on lunch break. Get my travel kit around and bring it to work with me…

Robin, that is a great fly to tie, and you did a great job on it. I will have to try one of those babies before too long myself. I haven’t tied anything in several days now. I have been going through computer hell…lol…but hopefully the worst is behind me. I went to someone’s site that sold jigs…and it crashed my computer, and it took a lot of work to get it limping along. I hate virus and malware. I think an applet caused the trouble. Regardless I lost almost everything, and have been downloading all my stuff back. What a nightmare. I added 1gb ram too, thinking it would help. Not. Anyway, your fly is gorgeous, and I KNOW it will do very well for you. Sorry I missed seeing you the other day at Fly Fish Texas. I did not get a chance to see everyone. I did look for you there though…
Kelly

Sorry about the IT woes Kelly, that does make life a bit more frustrating. Sounds like its back under control somewhat which is good.

Whipped out some more Guadalupanas just now. Tied some #8s to go along with the other day’s #12s.

You ought to be set then! Yes, the computer is still hanging up some.

When I was working in the Geothermal industry I often had weeks where I had to be at work but nothing to do. 12 hour days are pretty boring until you bring out your travel kit. Prob tied 50-70 dozen flies at work in the 9 months I had that job. Flies look good, keep up the good work.

GREAT looking fly Robin!

Personally, I don’t think that the thread search works worth a darn since the upgrade. I couldn’t find it using the FAOL’s search. I used the Google advanced search and limited it to the www.flyanglersonline.com domain.

Works much better for me at the moment.

banged out a few of these Marabou Blondes at lunch today

cool fly, it will be quite attractive to local fish…good job again Robin
