Lower Owens River, CA--1/30/06

flows are steady at around 120-125cfs, and water temps are up to around 40-45F, which means the fish are getting aggressive and less selective in their feeding.

BWOs start coming off around 12:30 afternoon and continue until about 2:30/3:00. this time of day is producing really nice surface action.

yesterday landed more than a handful of trout in the 13-16" range, and just a couple smaller ones. the big boys are starting to come out and play…

anyone whose planning on coming out and fishing this area, let me know. i have an emerger pattern that they simply cant resist…
