Ok here are the pics from (like I said in the earlier thread a lotech inspired fishin trip)…
After readin and seeing Lotech wonderful day out on the water I called up my buddy and said we gotta go…
We met at the usaual place early am and headed up on the Skyland side of the moutains…
It turned out to be another wonderful day…
First fish caught was by my buddy Brian, nice size Brookie, I asked him what fly he was using and he showed me. He didn’t really know what kind it was, turns out it was one I had given him, I looked at the fly and said way cool, do you realize that our first fish of the day was caught on a fly tyed from the other side of the world? He looked at me kinda funny, I said yeah it was a blue dunn that was sent to me from Gringo in the land down under. He said now thats neat, yep we already was having a good day…
And here’s a pic of the Lotech inspired lunch we had, hot lunch is much better on a fall day than cold, brat worst, onions, and green peppers on a hogie roll…
the rolls we wrapped up in foil and put over top of the stove to warm them.
Oh yeah and fresh perked coffee…
It was a good day! thanks Lotech Joe!
In all our maddening years of “living” in Washington,DC (office across the street west of the White House), I never knew of the beauty so close. Had we but only known, mayhaps we’d still be there instead of here in Kansas!! We had to move here to learn about fly fishing!! Go figure!!!
Beautiful pictures, great trip. Thank you, Tim!
WOW Grubb,
I never really thought of myself as inspirational. I don’t know what to say other than thanks, and you’re welcome. Looks to me like you have a nice little piece of Heaven to fish also. Great pics. Wish I could have joined you for lunch.
