Lost Jim Chapralis

Sad news folks.
Late last evening after a long battle with cancer we all lost our great friend
Jim Chapralis.
There are no immediate details or final plans at this time but something will likely be planned closer to Spring when the Trout hatches begin and the Browns & Rainbows are hungry.
Per the request of Sally Chapralis please DO NOT send flowers but rather feel free to make a donation to your local Cancer Society or the charity of your choice in Jim’s name.
Cards or letters my be sent to 3518 Davis Street, Evanston, IL. 60203.

A special statement and testimonial is being prepared as we speak for the Creel, the casting world and others.

Jim’s memories and the lessens we have all learned from him will live forever with all of us.
Every person that ever met Jim has been blessed by his generosity and constant love of people.

Sad. I never met Jim, but he was so helpful to me. He spent so much time
answering my emails. I had no idea he had cancer.

May all of his casts be the longest, and the fish be the biggest.

His family is in our prayers…

I had the good fortune to have known Jim. Not only a fine fisher and caster, but a heck of a guy.

Chuck

I enjoyed his articles here and his website.

May he rest in peace.

Met Jim while living in Chicago and attending some of the casting events he worked so hard to support and promote. Also had him speak at our TU chapter meeting.

May we all enjoy fly fishing at least half as much as Jim.

Very sad. I just finished reading “A Passion for Fishing” and absolutely enjoyed it. I am sure he is casting a line in a better place.

Tight Lines,
