Loren's F-Plus Dun

Loren William’s F-Fly variation; the “Plus” is the foam back, for a bit more buoyancy. Tied here as a Flav; change colors/size to suit your needs.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #14
thread - Danville 6/0 light olive
tail - hackle barbs dun
rib - Uni-stretch yellow
abdomen - dubbing light olive
shellback - 1mm foam olive
wing - CDC dun
hackle - CDC dun (fibers in split-thread loop wrapped as hackle)

You know, that’s really a cool idea on a CDC fly where sliming might cause issues. That foam may help float her…I like it.

Anything in particular this guy is supposed to imitate Scott? I suppose it could be made-to-suit. Trouble is my flies all tend to be #16 or smaller and little bodies. That’s what I get for shallow, spring creek fishing.
