Does Loon Outdoors still make Hard Head? I can’t seem to find it on their web site. I have always used epoxy but am tired of the mess.
Yes…
Cabela’s Item # 2UG-312064
I use it . . . the only problem I have had with it is the bottle/jar hardening up before it’s used. I am trying to make sure my new one is sealed better all the time.
Thanks for the info.
yes i use it and love it we sell a ton of it
Mine has thickened. What can I use to thin it??
I think they sell a thinner for it. But I have never used any.
Here is a link to their product page with Hard Head. http://www.loonoutdoors.com/products/hardhead.html
you thin it with water and use very little when you do
Thats what I wondered flyguy. I know they sell a thinners of their own, but its quite expensive, and I knew it was supposidly water based, but I didnt want to ruin it experimenting.
I have used it for years and now you cant give me the stuff. It always hardens before you get to use much no matter how hard you tighten the bottle and then to soften it you add the thinner and from my use of it after you thin it it is not as durable and will often peal from the head of the fly or body of the popper, Stick with epoxy or that new stuf that just came out that Popavics swears by. Just my two cents worth
Carp,
Now I am curious. What is that new stuff that just came out?
Rick
Flyguy5910, do you have a website?
hcmiller,
Go to Flyguy5910’s post and "click"on his profile. In his profile is his web site and a good looking one at that!
thanks Warren, Bud
that new stuff carp is talkin about is that loon uv stuff that it wont harden until you expose it to sunlight and it doesnt get all yellow and crappy like epoxy
