Might anyone here have suggestions/recommendations for the purchase of fiberglass blanks? Looking ahead, I think I’d like to build a couple. Quality would be #1, cost #2. Thanks in advance!
Betty, look at Jim Flamming’s reader’s casts article from a couple of weeks ago. He talks about building glass fly rods from inexpensive spinning rod blanks.

Lamiglas Spring Creek blanks are very nice … amber/brown finish, gives it a nice “retro” look.

Dudly …really?!? I’ve been looking at them! Wonder how they’d compare to my Hardyglass?
Have looked into Lamiglass, too, but hesitated as they’re not completely glass … a combined graphite glass combination? How’s that work?
RC … will be building a few of the spinning rod blanks to fly rods for my younger grandchildren to get them going!
