Looking for some brown hackle

Hi there,

No, I am not going to braid it into my hair, I don’t have enough hair to do that

Got to looking on eBay to see if the prices there have gone out to lunch, ran across some Sullivan saddle hackle from Sullivan Farms in New York State. Did a couple searches, didn’t find any info (other than info on grand champion bulls), anyone ever heard of it? Just wondering about the quality.

Thanks,
Dwight

ps> no, I am not afiliated with this, just trying to find some reasonably priced brown hackle for Green Machines as my last saddle is pretty much done.

Never head of sullivan, if you havent tried it, try conranch. great hackle straight from the grower.

Never heard of Sullivan hackle; hard to tell what the quality’s like by the pics. Charlie Collins has some real nice capes and he’ll throw the saddle in with the purchase; his saddles are not quality dry fly hackle, they’re okay. I use them to hackle a lot of the foam-bodied flies I tie and they’re great for that application.

Scott

You can try these guys http://Jimsflyco.com Although their site is a bit difficult to navigate at times.
