Looking for Madison/Gallatin advice

Well the week of Sertember 14th I get to come out to Bozeman area for the first time to fish the Madison and the Gallatin. I have done some research but would like some local input, should I concentrate on the upper or lower sections of each river,[SIZE=1] I will be wading . Any go to flies for this time of the year?[/SIZE]

Also I’m one of those retired guys traveling by myself on a budget so any suggestions on a lower rate place to stay along either river would be appreciated, or should I stay in Bozeman?

I am really looking forward to visiting your area and fishing these famous rivers.

Bob Jacklin at Jacklin’s Fly Shop in West Yellowstone for info on which and where to fish. If you plan on fishing the Madison, stay in West Yellowstone. We’ve had snow locally and in West Yellowstone, bring warm jacket and gear. Was 27 in West last night.
