Long trip

What do you bring guys, for a day-long hiking and flyfishing trip (wadind, no boat). I mean, in the backpack.
Regards.

Flies. Leader/Tippet/Etc. Water. Water filter, depending on how long I’m going to be out. Snacks. Camera (in my Otter Box). Pliers. Sunscreen and/or bug repellent, dependent on time of year and weather.

Oh, and a phone (but only to keep time with).

and rain gear. basic first aid kit.

Longest trips wade fishing will see me with boots and waders in the backpack if i’m not wet wading…then just the boots. Lots of water and some eats…PB&J’s for example, ziplocked and the phone (time, camera since no service many places) FLASHLIGHT or headlamp…this can become important…matches and an extra warm shirt if i’m not wearing it. Lots of extra fly gear i’d not normally carry…couple thousand flies, extra reel and spools, book, extra hat…mostly stuff i don’t need but have fun packing the night before. Kind of takes the impatient edge off the waiting when i go for an ‘all dayer’.

Cheers,
