liquid lace flies

hello, was curious if anyone had any fly recipes using liquid lace (fairly simple ones) that they’d be willing to share. have the ones from the fly of the week archives here, but was looking for something a little simpler. thanks

There was an article ondoing this in “Fly tyer” in the last year if my memory serves me right.
PM me if you need the specific issue and I will look for it.
The author usggested putting flash materila on the hook before the lace.

Any fly pattern that uses larva lace, liquid lace, liqui lace can have something inserted or injected into the lace.

Try doing a GOOGLE search and typing in the search box “larva lace” fly patterns and search the results. I know theres some patterns on the larva lace website.

Theres also a VHS by Mike Tucker of Colorado who ties a bunch of his liqui lace flies he designed in the 1980’s but I doubt you could even find it.

Mike Tucker is mostly responsible for the idea of inserting or injecting stuff in that vinyl tubing long before the guy whos now selling liquid lace. He was never given credit by David Klausmeyer in the recent Fly Tyer article.

The article is on page 65 of the Autumn issue of Fly Tyer and only has a few photos and one fly pattern recipe.

Larva Lace is a Sponsor here, and they have a free newsletter with flies and instructions. There are also easy flies on their website: http://www.larvalace.com

Al Campbell had an article on a Liquid Lace Sow bug.
