line to leader connector

hi here is a dumb question. I just bought a pck of those scientific anglers L2L line to leader connectors. my fly line is 5 these ar supposed to be good for line up to 7 wt. I am having one heck of a time pushing this fly line up into this thing. anybody used these and how did you do it. This was suppossed to be very easy? help please

are you using the tool provided? They are tough!! I’m looking at the new removable L2L connecter that JC featured here.

i didnt think you needed the tool for putting the fly line end threw. i will check the directions again.
