just picked up a boron2 8’4wt. just curious if a rio grand would be too much for the rod
Rio Grand, for me it was too much, especially when stretching a cast. The Rio Selective Trout and S.A. GPX work quite well on it though at all ranges.
It’s funny, I thought the ‘Grand’ was 1/2 line weight heavy like the GPX… it felt far heavier for some reason.
