I just picked up a Sage RPLXi 9’ 7 wt rod. Are there any favorite lines that you use. Thanks Dave
Spike, this rod was designed for the SA Mastery Bonefish taper in 7 weight. I can’t comment on the newer style, as I used mine with the older style line. You can cast the entire line with this rod and it loads effortlessly in close or for long casts.
I got rid of mine because it has become such a pain in the rear to travel with three pieces, but it’s a lovely and classy rod with guts.

Love my RPLXi 7. I cast everything from a 6wt Rio Lamalux to a 9 wt SA inermediate depending on the conditions (and which reel I remember to bring). I concur the junkman. It casts the SA Bonefish 7 like a dream. I also find I like casting a SA 8wt floating saltwater taper with it.
