Shenandoah Mountain Streams for native brook trout:
Mr. Rapidan parachute
Yellow mayfly
Caddis
Mr. Rapidan nymph
Mr. Rapidan emerger
Foam ant
Foam Beetle
Griffith Gnat
Other local streams for stocked trout add:
Minibugger (bead head, tied on egg hook, no palmered hackle)
Bead Head Red Squirrel Tail with legs

That’s my 10 for trout, but…

For Bass and Sunfish add: Yellow Gurgler
For Shad: Shad Darts
For Strippers (Rockfish): Lefty Kreh?s Deceivers

I tie others but use the above 90% of the time, if it works why change?

  2. Green Weenie (had a 50+ fish day on one of these)

  7. Soft Hackles (w/ beads or w/o and all colors)
  8. Zebra Midge
  9. Royal Wulf
