Light blue chenille?

I plan on tying up a batch of the James Wood Bucktails. Unfortunately, the light blue called for seems to be an unpopular color with retailers. Does anybody know of a source for this color chenille?

How light is the light blue you need? I have a pack of “Chenille medium Blue”, that has never been opened that you’d be welcomed to. We also have a couple shops close by that I could check for you (it would be terrible to HAVE to go into one of them!!!).

Did look up the pattern, and what I have is what is called for…

I have like a ton of light blue midge ice chenille, if you like it I can send you a few yards

All I can say is thank you to you both, and that I am proud to be member of this fine group at FAOL. You are right on Betty, the Medium blue is just the ticket. Check your PMs if you get a chance.

You can check Barlow’s Tackle, but don’t know what size you are looking for.

Sag - My shop carries Danville’s chenille and their blue is just what you want. By the way, the JW Bucktail is one of my favorite flies. I have tied them in all combinations of colors and along with the original, Olive and root beer work great. I have also used falsh type materials for the “collar”. I found that using feather instead of deer hair for the collar is alot easier.

Anything yet?

Yes the package came in today’s mail. Thanks again Betty. I gave it the Lorenzo’s Oil treatment last weekend.

Fantastic!! Happy tying!
