Life is good

Fished with a friend yesterday and this morning. I let him have holes first and gave him pointers on where to cast and what to use. His wife revoked his “Man Pass” at noon today and I was left to flounder and trudge through the snow alone this afternoon. 37 trout later and my legs are really tired and my back is killing me I am happy and satisfied. Very good opening weekend.

Life is good.

Great way to start a season. Thanks for posting.

One from this morning.

My buddy Mark insisted on a photo.

At least the trout looks nice.

My HUGE hands typically dwarf most trout.

Nicely done.

Is that Len? Great photos

yes…

his ugliness

SMILE, Len, smile!! You’re supposed to look happy when you catch a fish!!

Here is a smile for Betty

My daughter’s first day of kindergarten

OMG!! She’s gorgeous! Look at those blond curls!! She must look like her mother???

I wasn’t always fat and ugly.

Me at the same age.

LEN! You did it, winter is over, opening day has come and you slayed them! Well done. Looking forward to future posts. As for tired legs and sore back…just remember how they came about - 37 fishies later:D. Thanks for sharing friend.

Kelly.

rain and warm temps are forecasted for my area so went out for 2 hours today…12 to hand.

The rain and overnight temps above freezing will cause some serious run off.

Great death grip! But nice fishies as well!

NOT a death grip I handle my trout with care. No fingers pushing in to the stomach…no skin pucker on top.

“Trout Are Not Made Of Glass”

Len,

How about taking all your fish porn pics showing the right side of the trout so that at the end of the year we can see how many you caught more then once or twice. We’ll just play connect the dots and identify them easily. Identified a nice sized brown a couple of years ago while going through some photos when I suddenly realized the agreement of the markings were the same as one caught earlier in the season. Had an unusual triangle collection of spots near the right cheek.

This one caught in exact same hole almost one year later to the date.

Does the dot pattern change with age/growth?

it was approximately 2 inches longer the last time. We are going after it again in one week. Will report back.

Ya, agreed those spots are very similar, just a different picture. The death grip refers to squeezing the fish’s bladder and therefore rendering it unable to regain it’s balance (or what ever). Just squeeze it by the gills and I’m sure it will be OK after you THROW it back into the river.

It appears as if you are out of line and no one likes it. You have been privately Warned.
Perhaps as a new member you are just posting like you used to do on another board?
It will not be allowed here on FAOL. Play nice.

yes it is a different photo and they were taken a year apart. The trout was caught within 20 feet of the year prior and wording of your response tells me you have an agenda . The capital letters are telling. That fish was handle with care and swam away. Go pick a fight some where else.
