My favorite fishing spot is all cover with duck weed. I really need to figure out how to fish it now. There are some big bass there. So here’s the deal. Six swappers including me. Due date will be Aug. 15th, so we all can try out our flies when the ponds are all covered with green stuff. Just tie something that will bust through the cover or work in the mess. I’m thinking a Whitlock water pup will do, I’ll put the weedguard on. Standard fly swap rules apply, send sase, make sure it’s large enough for big flies. Let’s make this quick swap so we can get some of those big bass.

I’d like to join but not sure with what yet… maybe a weed resistant cork or foam slider.

Danny, I tie a large 3/0 fly that is sort of a Zonker, with a white hackle collar and large dumbell with 3d eyes glued on. The Body and tail is white rabbit. not the best looking fly, but it does pretty good for me for bass fishing. If this one is ok I would like to get in on this one. John

Folks here is your chance to try fishing for bass with the long rod, if you hav’nt tried it already or if you have here is your chance to try other flies in your area. Fishing for big bass on the fly rod is great fun. You only have to tie up 6 flies for this one. I am surprized this swap has not already filled up. I am sure anyone that joins this swap will like it. For those of you that have wanted to get in a swap, and for those of you that have wanted to try to tie flies for bass fishing. This is a good one to get into. You must remember that a fly does not have to be pretty to work. My fly is ugly and a lot of folks may not like it. But it does work. There arn’t very many spots left it would be good idea to sign up right away to insure getting in on this one. John

Totally agree John and keeping that in mind…will do a weedless #1 Devil Bug with other mods to make it look even bigger & uglier.

I don’t even know what the fly I’m tying is called. Saw a picture on the net a couple years ago. At first look I thought,

“That don’t amount to much.”

First time I fished it I thought.

“Why didn’t I think of that.” :wink:

If there are no objections I’m goinng to take the last spot. I’ll tie a weedless water pup. (water snake). Then today at walmart I saw a weedless frog, that I think I can copy sort of. It will be a totally experimental. So the swap is closed. Look for my addy in the main post. Dan

Finished up my flies and will try to get them in the mail tomorrow.

I finally remembered it’s called a “Weed Walker” and I think I got the recipe from Flytackle over at the Basspond.
