Has anyone seen an LED tying lamp that is battery powered, small, and clamps onto a vise? There must be one out there somewhere. I think it would be perfect for my travel kit.
Thanks for any pointers.
Diane
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming-WOW—What A Ride!
Diane, I have one that I purchased locally, and cannot recall the name. However, I’m not too fond of it, as it gives off a blue light. I removed the light and replaced it with a small pocket “AAA” sized light with a Krypton bulb. Works much better now.
I have a 6 bulb battery powered LED lamp that I purchased at Lowes Home and Garden Center. It was made for a barbeque and came with goose neck extension, a screw on clamp and a magnetic base. It looked perfect for tying.
Even though the lamp has white bulbs I find the color balance to be a little weird, too much blue spectrum. It makes the materials look funny. The brightness is less than I hope for as well. As a result I don’t use it at home, but still find it usefull for travel tying.
I looked for and found the tying light I e-mailed you about today and it turned out not to be battery powered. Sorry. If you still want it I will be glad to send it to you. I did a search tonight and foung a battery powered LED light with a 7 inch flexible light. Might be able to tape it to your vise. It cost $24.00.
