Anyone up to Tying and Swappin some Minnow or Shad Patterns?
I always enjoy 12 Tyers.
“Just Tie up 1 Swap Fly” - I’m doin 5 each for ya’ll.

Lets put the Sign in Window from 6-4-10 till next friday 6-11-10.

Lets call the timeline for shippin em to me on Friday 7-9-10.

Tie your minnows or Shad based on what fits your style at the bench.

Use whatever size hook and materials you prefere.

I take for granted that everyone knows the rules.
Anytime I have Hosted a swap I try to lash at least 2 for all participants sometimes even more.
I just enjoy tying flies, cuz it makes my time here on earth slow down for me.
If you do join in, I will do my very best to make this thing go as smooth and fun as PeanutButter and Jelly and get your Packages back to you ASAP !!

I will lash up- 1 The Simple Shad & 1 Minnow (Baby RainbowTrout 3 inches long) and probably and even a 5th Fly.

2- AlbaSurf - Mottled Mini-Muddlers -> Done deal->7-19-10

3- jimsnarocks - Size 4 Shad -> Done deal-> 7-24-10

4- WWKimba - Matuka style Minnow -> Done deal 7-21-10

5- Bass_Bug - Zonker style Minnow -> Done deal 7-21-10

6- CaseyP - Gierach Special -> Done deal->7-19-10

No Rush on this thing Jim,
I’ve been workin on the baby rainbow and came to rest on a 3" long on a size 6 Kahle uprite hook.
Thread -4m fine mono
Materials are Polar Fibers
Belly - White
Lateral - Pink
Back - Olive with just a tad of olive and blue SLF for some flash
Eyes - 4.5 EP solid Plastic eyes

Any others takers on this swap? Sign up deadline is tomorrow and there are still several open slots, what we have have so far looks like each a totally different style of minnow/streamer/baitfish patterns. Anyone up for a Thunder Creek, Clouser, or any minnowy-looking Carrie Stevens type pattern?

Hi Jeffro, I decided. I’ll be building a minnow shad in a size 4. Hopefully I’ll get the materials here early next week barring any back orders from Cabelas. Jim

Naw if this is all we get to sit at the bench with us we will still have fun…I dont get all cranky like some Hosts I’ve had to deal with.

You folks have any updates?I gotta suprize for ya’ll yep…and also,I have 2 patterns done. gonna start on #3 tommorrow and if I finish them I’ll start on a 4th…I will do this until I receive everyones flies…the slower ya’ll go the more flies you’ll get outta me.

I modified the Simple Shad a bit.Instead of using Peacock on the back I used some Peacock colored Flashaboo…more durable and used a size 1/0 eagleclaw Khale hook.
