Launch permit question

Do I need one for inflatable or pontoon on the waters inside National Parks?

In PA you need a launch permit to use ANY Launch site thats PFBC approved…for anything that floats…something I just learned not to long ago myself after years of not having any such permits on any of the watercraft I’ve owned…Kayaks and canoes need not be registered…so long as they are non powered though…

I think Bill pretty much hit it on the head. The good news is that a launch permit is pretty cheap. 10 for 1 year or 18 for 2. Very easy to get at county courthouses or shops, and you do not have to register (non powered) your boat get it. You don’t even have to know the serial number. This will take care of the state parks and so forth. County owned facilities have their own permits so another finger dips in your pocket. If you’re like me I’m too old to run, so I just buy the permit! LOL

Might be a good idea to inquire at the gate. May vary
in another district or whatever. warm regards, Jim
