I have come up with the perfect end all solution to all this crime and killing.
Here’s the plan: we get the government to pass a law that makes it illegal to kill another human being! Then all murder will cease instantly and for all time. I mean isn’t that the most brilliant plan. They’d arrest anyone who killed another in cold blood and voila! No more killing.
Please notify the Nobel Prize folks to get my check cut now, I’ll be watching the mailbox.

RRhyne56, are you trying to say that all we need is a law against killing another human?
Heck, that’s no good! That would mean legislators have wasted countless amounts of time and money promoting and passing laws against inanimate objects like guns and knives!
No, RRhyne56, we need more laws against the objects that people use to commit crimes! Maybe we should have laws that actually put the guns and knives in prison if they are used in a crime, not the person!
Or, since hands are used to hold the weapons in a crime, we should pass a law that would require a person to keep their hands in their pockets whenever they are within 500 yards on another person. I’ll bet that would stop crime!

Great idea, except the Democrats and Republicans could never agree on something so controversial as that.
The Dems would filabuster, the Pubs would cry foul and try a Nuclear option, Bush would threaten to go to war and Bill C would crawl out from under a desk and feel your pain.

Most of our laws are “Feel Good” laws.
It makes people feel good that new laws
are being passed to make things harder
for criminals.
Only problem is that criminals don’t
follow the law.
Our system just makes it harder on the honest folks. You can go to the city
(about 30 minutes from here) and get a gun,
no questions asked as long as you have the money.
It is already against the law to kill
someone, PERIOD!
Do we need laws that are more strict if you kill someone because of race, color or religion? I think this is called a “hate”
crime. You will get less time if you
just go out and kill randomly.

I have a friend who lost a son because the young man was being a good cop…he waited until he was shot to death before he pulled his weapon! This is BULLSH*T!!
Understand that the criminal mind will commit the crime with whatever tools are available to them…it may be ice cream or a dead carp! (THERE…now it’s about fishing!)
