Last Weekend

If this works, this is a photo of a fly I caught a number of sunnies on. Fished it on a fast sinking line retrieved very slowly. These had moved off of beds and were holding on deep drops close to shallow water. I don’t remember where I copied this fly from but modified it slightly.

Can’t really see it since the photo’s so small. What’s the recipe?

Sorry about the size.

On this one I used Fl. Red Marabou.

Hook of your choice
Tie in bead eyes
Tie in clump of Marabou just behind bead eyes
Tie in half dozen strands of white or pearl flash behind bead eyes
Tie in clear larve lace for body wrap from bend of hook to just behind bead eyes.
Tie in medium white chrystal chenille just behind eyes, one wrap behind eyes, figure eight over the eyes, one wrap in front of eyes.
Tie off.

I have tied this in several colors, yellow, light gray and the fl. red. It seems to work quite well.

I may have modified this from one of Rick Z’s patterns, not quite sure. I think the color’s are mine. I have no originality in me so I know I have used someone else’s basic pattern. It does work though.
