LadyFishers Tight loop

Just a note about the first picture in her column this week. The rod is a TRC (ooops, TCR!) 5wt. Now, into the wind; that’s a tight loop. Also, in pictures 3 and 4, notice how she keeps the rod low and plays the fish with the whole rod, not just the tip. Face it, the kid is good.

That is a very tight loop and I am willing to bet she can run that through a paper towel tube and not touch the sides.

One of the finest casts I have ever seen…

I was delighted to see that tight loop and I am very happy for Deanna. I hope that she is able to trouble the fish in the Au Sable in a month.

But it makes me wonder, where else but in the Wonderful World of Fly Fishing do people brag about getting tightly looped?..

That is a very nice looking cast.
Now you know why there are no pictures of me casting.

Rick

Same here. Also for a similar but different reason there are no pictures of me fighting a fish.

Just to clarify, I know what a Sage tcr is, but what is a trc?

At the 1st Michigan Fish-In Deanna helped both Jean and I with our casting, actually Deanna and Jim got Jean started and she ended up beating me in the casting contest! Of course I had an excuse I had a Rotator Cuff Tear(Hey any excuse is a good one), But “Anyhoo” Am Real Happy to see all is going great.
AND unfortunaly there are pictures of me casting:lol:

“Young, Pretty, Beautiful Caster and Catches Fish”… sure proves that old adage about, “Opposites Attract”, don’t it, JC?

we all make mistakes…it really is a TCR.

LF…wonder full topic. Enjoyed the pics and read much more than most. Don’t know why. Just a feel good from reading it. Very enjoyable.

I have the beginnings of rotator cuff probs on boaf shoulders. Ok for now…but I think someday I may be in big trouble.

I might have to consult with you someday about the problem. Glad you have found some success at it.

Welcome back to fishing!

Gotta say … that’s a pretty kewl hat Deanna is wearing!!!:stuck_out_tongue:

Gotta admit I was too busy gawking at that nice fish to notice much more.
Deanna, nice to see you back on the water again!

It’s been a long haul, and I don’t have the strength in my right arm yet that I need - or would like, but I will continue to work on it. My surgeon has cut me loose, no more appointments unless I need him. Hope to avoid that. The rotator cuff surgery, I’m told, is easier when one is younger (as compared to old like me) another gal I know a bit younger told me it was a full year for her before she even had the range of motion back. I’ve got that now! Hurrah.

Like most medical stuff, you’re better off it you don’t put it off. Hint.

OK, let the rest of us in on it. Where is this? In what publication or what link?

Rick

Silly, we are talking about my column from last week. It is here:
http://www.flyanglersonline.com/ldy/

Once again, it’s time to mention, there is a website associated with this BB. It is called Flyanglersonline.com. Easy way to get there is to click on the fishie in the upper left corner.

It’a good thing to go there every Monday…at least!
