Found this variation on a French Canadian site; did not know the fly was originally called the Quarter Pounder.

thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - hackle fluff (from the base of the feather) red
body - peacock herl/red yarn
throat - calftail dyed rust
underwing - calftail dyed yellow
wing - calftail white
