Found this one on Hans’ site. L.T. stands for Louis Tanguay, the fly’s originator; similar to the Montberg.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #12
thread - MFC 8/0 sand
rib - x-small wire copper
body - golden pheasant tail
wing - deer hair
hackle - grizzly
head - deer hair spun/clipped

Part 1

mash barb, start thread near eye

clean a clump of deer hair; tie in with 2 soft loops, pull thread tight, let it spin

trim to shape

tie in rib, wrap back to bend

tie in some GP tail fibers; wrap to base of head

Part 2

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread

clean, stack, measure (tips to bend) a clump of deer hair; tie in/trim butts

tie in hackle, wrap to base of head, tie off, trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

I prefer it with the hackle clipped out on the bottom

On the road to Grouse Camp; 2 weeks 'till I hit the Beaverhead Valley (with a slight detour thru Phoenix)
