Pretty straightforward pattern.

hook - Dai Riki 300 #10
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - moose body hair
body/head - 2mm foam black
indicator - Parapost yarn hot orange
legs - black rubber
hackle - grizzly

Part 1

Mash barb start thread, wrap to bend

Clean, stack, measure (gap width) a clump of moose hair; tie in, wrap to 2/3 mark

Taper end of foam strip; tie in

Pull foam forward; tie down at 2/3 mark

Tie in yarn

Tie in legs; trim yarn

Part 2

Tie in hackle

Wrap hackle, tie off/trim

Move thread to eye, tie down foam; create abdomen

Create thread dam at eye to lift foam at front

Trim head, trim out hackle underneath, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

Interesting and timely with terrestrial, dry / dropper season upon us. Kind of reminds me of the Hippie Stomper which is very popular here in the WI / MN driftless region. Beautiful tie and photographs as usual Scott.

Are your photo’s linked or do you post them individually. Also, how do you link them with photo software?

I dump my pics onto my computer, weed out the rejects, and then download them to Flikr, an online photo hosting site (used to use Photobucket, but had some issues with them); then I grab the image IDs and post them

BTW, there’s a 10 pic limit per post on FAOL; if you have more than that you have to split the thread into multiple posts.
There are other photo hosting sites available but I’ve been happy with Flikr.
