Know anything about this rod?

I received this note from my friend Sam. Can you answer his question?

“I need your help with a with a fly/bait cast rod. Maybe you can get on that web site with your fly fishing buddies and find out when it was made and if it is worth anything. It is a Wright & McGill Trail master 6’ 9 " No. VM8TM Line Size 7 This rod is equipped with MiNi - FERRULES Straight Light Strong. All that information is printed on the rod. The rod has a bait cast handle and a fly rod handle, and a tip for each. I have the original case and it has never ben used. I am not smart enough to find out. Thanks, Sam.”

Sound a bit like my first fly rod except mine is a spinning/fly combo. If it has never been used, it might be worth a bit. I am Not the person to be able to tell how to find out how much. They are tough rods, I have two of them. Eagle Claw, I think, is the parent company. OH YEA, mine are pack rods, 4 peices, cloth sack and aluminum tube.

unfished and mint (mint = as new) maybe fifty bucks, likely forty. Used - twenty and up.
