Scott,
I like the effect of the white-tipped turkey. I just acquired a bunch of turkey tail and body feathers I’ll have to try this pattern out. Someone in my neighborhood keeps free-range turkeys and in exchange for helping him process about 1 dozen of them, including a 47-lb turkey-zilla (dressed), I got my pick of the feathers.
Did you use one fiber from the tail or is that several fibers?
Regards,
Alberto
Alberto,
This fly took about 6 fibers for the body. Congrats on scoring the mother lode of turkey feathers.
Regards,
Scott
