Klepper folding kayaks

Anyone familiar with these?

Apparently they’ve been in the business for like 100 years and are used all over the world. I’m sure that there will be some hull shell repairs involved, but it looks like it will be worth it

Here’s a youtube showing the assembly

Paddling.Net is a serious bunch of canoe and kayak heads and you can pretty much guarantee that someone there has an opinion on any boat paddled. Here is a list of their published reviews on this boat http://www.paddling.net/Reviews/showKayaks.html?manf=75

Do keep in mind that any owner evaluation like this tends to be very very positive. It is sort of the opposite of buyers remorse - you own the thing now so you better convince yourself that you are happy with it. None-the-less I find the reviews useful - particularly the more critical ones.

When I was looking around for something that would not require much storage space the Klepper brand was favored very highly. So was the price :frowning: so I purchased else where. But at free, even if 30 years old, it should be a very nice toy.

Have fun I am sure you will enjoy!
