Kind of photo thats just pure luck

:PFishing on a small mountain stream in Virginia and was taking some photos of a beautiful rhododendron in bloom. Something suddenly flew past my right ear grazing it and landed on the bloom just before I snapped a photo. If the link below works the results were pretty neat.

BEAUTIFUL!!

A couple of years ago, I was packing up the car to leave Keystone (on the AuSable (MI), when a butterfly decided to stop for a rest. My camera was sitting around my neck at the time so I quickly brought it up and took the shot. Like you pointed out…timing is everything.

GMM and Mato -

WOW - those pics are great. Thanks.

John

Grn Mt Man, I’v got some nice pics of some Va. mountain streams as well that I use for my desk top, but if its ok with you, I’m gonna barrow yours for awhile…

Grubb,

Help yourself to the photo. Glad you liked it. Wasn’t sure if I could get it from the PhotoBucket site to FAOL without messing up.

Mato Kuwapi,

Now that’s what I call a beautiful photo. If that was mine it would be hanging somewhere, matted and framed. WOW!

i just thought i would add some color also

awsome pictures I dont know if my camera is even capable of stuff like that.

I came across this critter last month in Maine. Can anyone I.D.it???

Here’s a Virginia pic…Conway River…

Colston, thats a good looking pic of a beautiful Brookie!!!

We always called them “Hummingbird moths”. It is a moth, but I don’t know it’s sci. name.
