No problem. You can either get me her username, or we can leave it as “steveksdaughter” on the main list. She’s signed up either way.
Everyone should have my shipping info by PM. If not, let me know and I’ll resend it.
Thanks her user name is laurenks.
We have one spot open, and one week left for signups.
5 days to get the last spot, and 1 month and 5 days left before the flies are due.
I’m done and mailed, Blue! Thanks for letting me play. I’d just love to be able to be a the Fish-In. Maybe some day. JGW

Hey there Greg. I was thinking of joining your swap here (would be my first ever). This bluegill swap is just too good to pass up. The fly I was thinking about is a wet wingless McGinty sort of thing. I see that ibrb has already signed up for a “mega bee”. Is that too similar? Or I could submit a black boa yarn leech (thank you Rick). The boa yarn leech almost feels like cheating, it’s so easy. I does, however, catch the gills like CRAZY. Hmmm. Maybe I should do that. What do you think?
Here’s my thought… Most of us have probably tried the boa yarn leeches. I’d say tie up bees!
Go with the McGinty thing, IMO. I think everyone would love to see something a little different in order to experiment with new patterns and techniques. But it is entirely your choice, of course.
I’ll put your name on the swap, and we are full!
Okay now. Since this is my first swap, I have a couple minor questions. I see that I’m not the only one.

[li]What do you use for the crush proof container? I need a couple ideas.[/li][li]How do you attach the toe tags?[/li][li]Any certain type of envelope seem to work best?[/li][/ol]
Crush proof containers can be about anything you can come up with. I’ve seen altoids tins (usually too small), up to VHS cases. Some guys use smaller Plano boxes. I like to use the cheap soap travel containers from wallyworld. They are usually 2/$1, so it is not big deal if they don’t make it through the USPS.
Toe tags are usually printed out, cut apart, and then you push the hook point through to attach them.
Any envelope will work. I often use the cheap plain mailers that you can get almost anywhere, but a lot of guys use padded envelops that can cost up to $1 each. Either way, be sure there is return postage (in stamps) included, or cash to cover the return along with the return envelope.
Great. That helps. I can’t wait to get started.
I was unaware that this was a problem. I will find larger containers…
The Alpaca Darts are all tied, just got to print toe tags (dang printer is on fritz!) and plan on getting all in mail within the week. Thanks again for hosting!
I’ve done two swaps now using a 5-slot Plano box, and it works like a champ! Swaps are a ton of fun… Glad you joined.

Ok, my flies are tied up. Now I just need to make up the toe tags and package them up. Won’t be able to do tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
I will be out of town tomorrow through Thursday, so if your flies arrive, I won’t know about it until I get back. I’ll still have internet access, though.
