Brad’s mother crossed the veil this week after an extended illness and a valiant fight. She was one of finest LADIES that was my good fortune to have known. She was loved and will be deeply missed.

On the 16th I received an email from Brad, it started with “After the week I’m having I can’t wait to get there!”. He told me of the birth of is granddaughter on Easter Sunday, his first. Then he told me of the loss of his mother after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday. He has been through a rollercoaster of of emotions in a very short time and I hope his time down here in Tennessee fishing our tailwaters with some good friends will help him put his mind at ease.
Brad, the weatherman is predicting warm and sunny days during your and Bill’s visit. For some unknown reason it has changed from warm and rain?!
See ya Thursday old friend!

Brad, I am sorry to read of your loss. Anything that I can type will be a poor attempt to express that and my friendship for you. I cannot tell you not to grieve, for you will and you should. I cannot tell you of the loss, for you know it all too well. I can only tell you that you have friends who care about you and respect you and are sharing a small portion of your pain with you.
Warm regards,
Ed
