just a spinning rod

My adopted boy was getting but hurt cause I did not build him a rod. He wanted something in a ultra light and very basic cause he was going to use the daylights out of it. Gave it a little thought and ordered a Tiger Eye blank with gold guides and reel seat. Just to fancy it up a little I wrapped with white thread and no cp. this is the end result

the rod will make a good one for the streams and lakes we fish. Can’t wait to see him hook one of them 20+ inch browns on it.

Thank you all for the kind words. It is just a spinning rod in ultra light and very very basic. The boy will come off the road next may and use it for some of our little trout (16-26"). It wanted to use it this time but did not have time. He is complimenting it with a pflueger president ultra light spinning reel. He has never fished with a ultra light so I will definatley get a laugh or two when he hooks into a fish. His idea of ultra light is 20lb test line on a heavy rod.
