I know a lot of people don’t participate in swap for what ever reason they may have and that is cool. I just want to promote one of the swaps going on right now. It is the Geography swap. Don’t be shy and join this swap. It is the biggest swap I have ever been in. The list of tiers excluding myself is totally amazing. What a great oppertunity to see what works in different states and countries. Take a look at it and see if maybe you might like to join and represent your state, country, or providence. If you are a begining tier what a great oppertunity to increase your tieing abilities. If you are a experienced tier what a great way to show your talent. Thanks for your time
Thanks for the good word on this swap. It will be a large effort (65 flies to tie), but you will get 65 flies back. Hopefully you will see flies from all of the states/provinces and overseas (so far Chile, Lithuania, and Scotland). Hurry and signup! Only 40 spots left!
Greg
65 flies, I can barely get 12 tied in time for a swap. I think I would go nuts trying to tie 65 of the same thing.
Eric the impatient.
LOL I understand Eric that many flies can be a challange but I personnally love it. It is quite challenging. On a lighter note I do believe we are comming up your way next year might have to introduce myself when we do.
that would be great, Harley It would be great to get together and fish or just talk for an hour or two.
Eric
ive thought about it, but 65 flies is way over my limit for a fly swap.
sorry
I don’t know if it will help, but they aren’t due until Feb 8. That is just under 1 fly a day until the end of the year, with an extra month to mail them in.
This is going to be a great swap if it fills up. Having a collection of flies from all over the U.S.A. , Canada, and some from other countries what a great collection. For those of you not able to tie all 65 flies Maybe two or three people could get together to tie for one location. I know some of my fishing friends have offered to help me, I am going to tie them all myself as I will have plenty of time. I am going to display the collection at a friends house for all of use to share he has a room full of Flyfishing memoirablia mostly stuff from our parents, relatives and friends. We all thought this would be a great addition. Just a thought about teaming up with friends.

ol blue makes a very good point, lots of time to tie. C Royally what a awesome idea. I know I show everyone my flies from swaps and when I get just one room,(my boy has to move out and the grandson has to let me have his room), then I will put them all on a board with the toe tags attached. Eric I am going to try to go to Priest Lake this next year and you are not that far out of the way LOL. It would be great to fish some new water or just sit and chat for awhile.
Come on… there is still alot of time.
Also there is no specific rule about the living or have borned in the state/country you are representing, just tie a fly that you think represents fly fishing in there.
I hope we can fill the slots.
