Jim -

Those are some pretty neat places you got to fish. Great pics - everything but that forecast lightning !! and fishies ??

John

John, since you asked, There was no lightning that I saw. The thunder storms were just a good rain, and snow at higher elevations. Virginia lakes are above 9000 ft and we did have some wet snow there. All the tubers were getting out when we arrived so we didn’t get in. We did fish to a bunch of rising trouts and caught a few in the 15 minutes or so that we toughed it out. I did not have my camera with me then. Went and got it when we got ready to leave because Jerry wanted his pic taken at the lake.
The fish we got in the east Walker didn’t get photographed either except one Jerry clicked with his cell phone. He was a hundred yards downstream from me. He had a monster break off and I could hear him shouting over the river noise.
The few fish I did take pictures of weren’t that big but very feisty. Unfortunately I did not get any pics of the few browns or 1 brookie I caught. couldn’t hold them and snap the camera at the same time.

This 'bow was taken on a EHC

This one at Green Creek on a BH Pheasant tail nymph.

Jim,

Glad to hear you had a great time. Sounds like you did well. Thanks for the beautiful pics and nice report.

Beaver

Ahh, the sierra nevada. I love that place. I’m going in August to get my trout fix on. I’m planning to hit the Sacramento and McLoud rivers too
