A flashy variation of a vintage stillwater pattern; supposedly a killer in the Kamloops.

tail - Guinea hen
thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - small wire copper
body - tinsel copper
throat - fox squirrel
wing - pheasant rump dyed brown
collar - peacock herl

Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend

strip some barbs from a guinea feather; measure (gap width past bend), tie in/trim, finish about 1 eye width back from eye

tie in tinsel, wrap to bend and back; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread

cut a small clump of squirrel; measure (tips to hook point), tie in/trim

Part 2

measure (tips to tail) a rump feather; tie in, trim (changed to a heavier one closer to the church window section of the bird)

tie in some peacock; twist around thread

wrap herl rope, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN
