I’m going to ask again for your prayers and to keep your fingers crossed. My wife’s been out of work for over a year. A few weeks ago she got a phone interview and we had our hopes sky high, but that fell through and she didn’t get the job. which could’ve been a blessing as she would have had at least an hour and a half commute, one way.
Tomorrow though, she has an interview, this time with an honest to God person, instead of a phone. plus, she actually did an internship there when she was in school and she remembers and likes the person she’ll be interviewing with. Though, we don’t know if the lady remembers dana or not, her internship only lasted a couple of weeks and it was about 2 years ago. Anyway, we’re only looking at an hour long commute and she’ll eventually be able to work from home on our computer. Anyway, the Lord knows we really need this. We’d really appreciate any prayers or well wishes you can send our way.
As a manager myself I can honestly say I remember every intern that ever worked for/with me. If Dana has made it to a personal interview, I would bet the person doing the interview remembers and she has a good impression of Dana.
Hope it all works out well. Now get this.
I had two girls quit on me last week because I got onto them(nicely) about them making excuses to be off. “My daughter had a meet and greet with their teacher” ( so for a meeting that last at most 1 hour, you need the WHOLE DAY OFF? and with no warning? ) Yes, they are young but old enough to know better. In this day and age of unemployment, they do that. Amazes me.
Then they get a job at a large medical firm and are back asking me for their job back within a year. Happened three times in the past 3 years.
dana just had her interview. they did not remember her from her internship and they did tell her that they had someone applying with 7 years experience. Dana just got out of school and doesn’t have any. We’re suppose to find out one way or the other one day next week.
thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, I wish I had better news to tell you,
Jason
Jason,
You folks have been in my Prayers & will remain there.
Tell Dana that it often doesn’t go to the most experienced, but to the applicant who WANTS the opportunity the most & will appreciate it more.
God Bless and Good Luck!
